I'm pretty terrible at blogging items of clothing straight after I get them. I know the point is to show off pieces that are currently in store but I never got around to doing this outfit properly. I figure though, it's my blog and I can do whatever the hell I want. If that means blogging an outfit that is no longer available in stores but I think is still friggen kick-ass, then that's what I shall do! (Although, this skirt made an appearance on this blog a while back but I did promise I would do a proper post on it!)
The main deal with this outfit is that I have been a lover of Gorman clothing for a long time but I was always under the impression that nothing in there would ever fit me so I would just wander around the store, drooling on everything. It wasn't until earlier this year when I spent time with Fashion Hayley in Melbourne that she actually convinced me to try some pieces on. I laughed at her and said she would have to help me out of the clothes if I got stuck, but lo and behold ... stuff actually fit! Both the skirt and tassel top get me showered in compliments - for obvious reasons, I mean really, they're amazing haha
I'm also wearing a rad City Chic jacket that didn't show up all that well in the other pics so I took a dodgy one of my shoulder in my room so you can see the rad details:

My plan with this outfit was to be the most colourful person in the room last night. I think I achieved it hahaha
I was at the opening of my very dear friend Kerri Wright's solo exhibition, Collection, which is currently on at The Annex Cafe in Glenelg. You should definitely check it out if you get a chance - she's an incredible print maker!
